PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES:

Since 1968, the Philippines has been the site of the prestigious international beauty contests. In 1981 and 1982, Malaysia has played host to Miss Asia Pacific Quest.

In 1984, new countries and territories embracing the pacific basin participated. Counties within the Asia Pacific Rim, specifically Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Canada and North America became part of the first Miss Asia Pacific Quest and was held in New Zealand in October 1984.

In 1985, Miss Asia Pacific Quest celebrated a milestone on its 18th year. Close to 40 countries/territories participated in the glittery pageant which was hosted for the first time by Hong Kong. Participating countries now include the following:

OPERATIONS:

Miss Asia Pacific Quest, Inc. is referred to as Owner/Promoter and organizer of the pageant with the participating country as National Sponsor, and the host country as Host Organizer.

As such, Miss Asia Pacific Quest, Inc. is imbued with the right to monitor and provide advisory technical assistance to the National Sponsor to ensure that the most exacting standards of an International pageant are followed. Thus, Miss Asia Pacific International is always credited as co-presentor (in cooperation with Miss Asia Pacific Quest, Inc.) in all communications, activities of the advertising, publicity, and collateral materials.

MANAGEMENT:

Today, the organization is managed principally by it Board of Directors composed of MESSRS… ALFONSO V. LIM, JR. Chairman, ROBERTO DE VENECIA, President, LAURO M. AMANTE, Treasurer, and LEANDRO D. ENRIQUEZ. They are distinguished personalities stemming from various sectors of society.
